Phoenix’s latest album ‘Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix’ is receiving a re-release here in the UK as a double CD and will feature remixes from the likes of Passion Pit, Grizzy Bear, Friendly Fires, YACHT, Alex Metric, The Soft Pack and more.

On the album, which is released in the UK October 19th (a US version is released digitally on October 13th), there will also be a remix by Animal Collective featuring vocals performed by themselves.

The track, titled ‘Love Like A Sunset’ is a great take on the original and more than worthy of being titled an official remix.

I can’t wait to hear other tracks from the album, with such a talented spectrum of artists I fail to see how it could be disliked.

Stay tuned for more details on how to pre-order the album and the full tracklisting.

Drifts alongs nicely Chris. Personally I’ve not been captivated like many have by “Merriweather Post Pavillion”. It’s O.K. I guess.

The remixes of the bands sound interesting, particularly Friendly Fires, Yacht and Metric. Sounds like a good mix.

I’ll admit I was a bit of a latecomer on ‘MPP’ but find myself listening to it pretty often when I have nothing else to listen to.

Yeah I’m excited for it too, there are already so many Phoenix remixes around though, it’ll be interesing to see what’s done differently.
