Finally, after what seems like months of waiting the new Arctic Monkeys album is upon us. Alongside some other great releases it seems like the lull of album releases has at last ceased.

As I predicted last week Calvin Harris has taken the number one spot with his second album ‘Ready For The Weekend’ which was released and featured on Indiescreet last week.
Poor Calvin though, I have a slight suspicion he may not stay there for long. With the release of the much anticipated Arctic Monkeys album I doubt many bands in the world would be able to stop them reaching the number one spot.
In other chart news The XX managed a very respectable 36 in the top 40 and Simian Mobile Disco managed 39. A great effort from two acts who are not exactly aimed at the mainstream charts.
