Check out these MTV Sessions where Jamie T performed a couple of new tracks from his upcoming album ‘Kings & Queens’.
The sessions feature three tracks from the upcoming album. They are, Jamie’s latest single ‘Chaka Demus’, ‘Emily’s Heart’ and ‘Earth, Wind & Fire’.
Before my brief review of a couple of the track a quick disclaimer. Jamie T is well known for widely varying live performances from the recorded tracks. The tracks are very likely to sound different on the album.
‘Emily’s Heart’ is a very sombre affair. The lyrics are great but I have a feeling the track might not be so acoustic on the album, it will most likely feature more of a backing.
‘Earth, Wind & Fire’ is different from most of Jamie stuff in the past, mostly because it isn’t different like most of his stuff in the past. That make any sense? The song sounds like it could have been a Kasabian track. I’m not convinced as of yet, but hopefully it’ll be a grower.
