A new track from Absent Elk has just been posted on their MySpace page.

The track, titled Bleeding Ink, is a pre tour treat from the band for all the fans.

Check out the song here Absent Elk on MySpace Music and you can still get tickets to some of the bands tour dates here AllGigs.co.uk – Absent Elk Tickets.

Absent Elk’s tour begins in Oxford on June 15th and ends in London on July 2nd.

The lyrics to Bleeding Ink are:

I’ve seen pretty faces
Take a fall as the headline changes
I don’t want you caught in the whirlwind
It fools you, it pulls you in

No darling, I won’t let you sink
in the grains of bleeding ink
Just don’t take it in
Don’t let it seep through your velvet skin

You’ll know how it feels
When you walk up a lonely street
Where there’s friends to be made
Old enemies lurk in the shade

Tread carefully, watch your step
You’re always so easily lead
You don’t want those lies in the morning
They trap you, and wrap you in

When insomnia cuts you deep
You can’t tell the wolf from the sheep
And the ones you rely on might be
who you should be hiding from

You’ll know how it feels
When you walk up a lonely street
Where there’s friends to be made
Old enemies lurk in the shade
