With British Sea Power, Future Of The Left, Anna Calvi and Three Trapped Tigers all performing live sets plus an as yet unannounced special guest the night is sure to go with a band. On top of all that there will be DJ sets from Felix White of The Maccabees, Bloc Party vs Co-Pilots, White Heat, Young & Lost Club and plenty more to keep the party going into the small hours.

The exclusive event, which takes place at The IndigO2 on Monday July 5th, is to promote the arrival of Best Buy here in the UK.

The busy ladies over at Young & Lost Club have released a whopping 50 singles this year, to celebrate that fact the label are releasing a compilation consisting of 34 of those 50 tracks.

Featuring the likes of Good Shoes, Noah & The Whale, Bombay Bicycle Club, Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, Everything Everything, Othello Woolf and plenty more; the compilation, entitled All The Single Ladies (presumably after club co-founders Nadia Dahlawi and Sara Jade), is due for physical release August 16th but you can stream the two disk album in full now below.

2009 has been a rollercoaster year which started with a flourish of great new albums and ends with a smattering of fantastic new acts to take us into the next decade.

To celebrate 2009 here’s a quick and fun quiz to test your knowledge of news events and releases over the past 12 months.
