A fractured delivery throughout the track gives a distinctive sound which offers Blackbird Blackbird’s stylings layered with one of the most talked about bands around right now.

British Sea Power return with the sudden announcement of a new EP due for release in a couple of weeks time.

The first preview of the EP comes in the form of title track “Zeus”, a track which peaks and troughs as musical instruments collide through it’s duration, managing to sound grand yet understated all at once.

‘Too Much’ is the second piece of previewed material taken from Sufjan Stevens’ impending new album The Age Of Adz.

Contrasting Sufjan’s soft vocal delivery with an array of electronic blips and bleeps ‘Too Much’ blends together perfectly, ensuring that between this and the previously featured ‘I Walked’ anticipation is pretty damn high.

The Age Of Adz is set for release October 12th however Stevens’ label is offering the mp3 version of the album a whole two weeks early to anyone who pre-orders, details here.

Looking back through the archives I can’t believe I’ve never written about Real Estate here on Indiescreet. The Brooklyn based bands self titled debut album has been amongst my most played since it’s release last year.

‘Out Of Tune’, as Stereogum reports, was previewed by the band during their Daytrotter session a couple of weeks back but was left untitled. The studio version of the track feels mellow and sunkissed, conjuring up visions of a peaceful summers day.

‘Out Of Tune’ is set for release October 12th on True Panther.

‘Follow’ and ‘Swallow’ are two brand new track from Crystal Fighters which display the bands genre-blurring credentials at their best yet.

‘Follow’ steadily builds up from it’s acoustic beginnings to quickly grow into a bass-beat laden track which manages to balance the mix of laid back and upbeat impeccably.

‘Swallow’ really caught me by surprise; at around a minute the beat begins to build before a rather heavy handed dubstep drop takes effect. It wasn’t at all what I was expecting and I’m not sure it totally works but the sheer audacity to combine a more traditional sound with something so fresh gets the thumbs up from me.

So far each of the three tracks I’ve previewed from Crystal Fighters upcoming debut album Star Of Love have been totally different, I’m excited to hear how the band can make these individual tracks work together on record.

Star Of Love is due out September 20th and will features ‘Follow’ and ‘Swallow’ as well as the already previewed ‘In The Summer’.

LightsoverLA’s résumé of work includes remixes of Two Door Cinema Club, Hurts, Crystal Castles and Miike Snow amongst many, the latest remix of Delorean’s ‘Real Love’ continues a rich vein of form from the upcoming DJ.

Working dubstep undertones into the equation the remix adds another dimension to the original without pushing too far away from the original.

‘Hands Off My Cash, Monty’ is a demo which Two Door Cinema Club are giving away to anyone who signs up to their mailing list.

It’s a small price to pay for such a pristine little pop number, a track which sadly missed the cut on the band’s debut album Tourist History.

On the back of the already evergreen ‘Bang Bang Bang’ comes two brand new track from Mark Ronson taken from his upcoming new album Record Collection.

First up is ‘Lose It (In The End)’ features Ghostface Killah and sounds like a cross between the already previewed ‘Circuit Breaker’ and old classic ‘Ooh Wee’ with it’s retro stylings and hip-hop undertones.

‘The Bike Song’, which features floppy haired The View frontman Kyle Falconer, doesn’t quite have the same immediate impact but seems like it’ll be perfectly suited for radio airplay as one of the upcoming singles from the album.

Record Collection is set for release September 27th.
