The Cribs are giving away a free track on their website exclusively until tomorrow morning (8th July) for anyone who signs up to the Wakefield bands mailing list.
The track, which will feature on The Cribs’ forthcoming new album, is titled We Were Aborted and is the first track made public by the band featuring Johnny Marr.
The band have grown up and really found their sound since their self titled debut album and follow up ‘The New Fellas’. It seems the inclusion of Marr and his experience have helped the Jarman’s fine tune every inch of the record. From the sound of this track I am eagerly awaiting the bands new album.
The Cribs new album is scheduled for release in September and will be titled Ignore The Ignorant. The bands first single from the album will be ‘Cheat On Me’, to hear the first play of this track tune in to Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 this week between 7pm and 9pm GMT.
