Rather confusingly Dimbleby & Capper are just one person, better known as 21 year old Laura Bettinson.
I first came across Dimbleby & Capper after being linked to a YouTube video of a track called Beautiful But Boring. A hauntingly beautiful voice complimented by a sparse backing is a great combination.
Beautiful But Boring has just been released as a free MP3, you can grab a copy over at Dimbleby and Capper’s MySpace page or see the YouTube video which I viewed of an earlier version of the track.
Dimbleby & Capper performed at Glastonbury over the weekend on the BBC Introducing stage. You can view three of the tracks played over at BBC Introducing Glastonbury 09.
I believe there could be big things on the horizon for Dimbleby & Capper. The style and elegance in the performances at Glastonbury exude a confidence which I adore. Her quirky nature and individual fashion sense mean that she is always going to stand out against a sea of drab female performers. Just a bit of finishing off here and there and I believe Bettinson could most definitely be one for the future.
