Over the next few weeks the review of the week will be changing, Indiescreet wants your help by submitting anything you find interesting on the web. Be it videos, photos, music or just a quirky website you stumbled upon Indiescreet wants to know.

Once I have a good collection of great links I will post them on here linking to the item and crediting each person who found it.

So get in touch now and share with me whatever you want!

Until then here is my review of the week, featuring some big news stories and great websites.

Strange Glue spoke about MCA of Beastie Boys’ cancer announcement and Lollapalooza

“Yeah Yeah Yeah’s will headline the Saturday night of this year’s Lollapalooza Festival, replacing the Beastie Boys who have pulled their entire tour.”

Brit Music Scene extended upon what I wrote about this years Mercury Prize nominees, including the odds from the bookies

“The 2009 Mercury Prize Nominees (and their odds to win)

Kasabian – ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’ 5/1
Florence And The Machine – ‘Lungs’ 5/1
Bat For Lashes – ‘Two Suns’ 6/1
Glasvegas – ‘Glasvegas’ 6/1
La Roux – ‘La Roux’ 6/1
Lisa Hannigan – ‘Sea Sew’ 8/1
Speech Debelle – ‘Speech Therapy’ 8/1
The Horrors – ‘Primary Colours’ 8/1
Friendly Fires – ‘Friendly Fires’ 8/1
The Invisible – ‘The Invisible’ 10/1
Sweet Billy Pilgrim – ‘Twice Born Men’ 10/1
Led Bib – ‘Sensible Shoes’ 10/1″

Little White Lies posted an in depth review of this years Latitude Festival

“I’m here at Latitude 2009, an extravaganza of music, film, theatre and cabaret. Indeed, no matter what your tastes you’ll find something that you like. So if you’re a Pet Shop Boys fan with a love of Shane Meadows and a penchant for Burlesque, then you’re going to be more than happy here.”

Music Induced Euphoria posted the new video for ‘Drugs’ by The Black Lips

“What a great interpretation of one of my favourites off 200 Million Thousand.”

Noize Makes Enemies reviewed Wave Machines’ new album ‘Wave If You’re Really There’

“From an album opening with the line ‘the day is wasted, if you’re not wasted’ you’d probably expect Pigeon Detectivese-sque boorish lad rock, but Liverpool funclub Wave Machines offer no such thing.

Specializing in fragile white-boy funk and shiny shiny melancholia, ‘Wave If You’re Really There’ recalls an uber-chilled Hot Chip, combining intellectual lyrics with disco beats to make irresistibly danceable songs with a heart.”

As always by sharing this post using the social media platforms below you are not only helping Indiescreet but also helping every blog featured on this weeks review of the week.
