The Libertines Reunion Is On!

It now seems pretty safe to say The Libertines will be back together come next year.

Carl has said that as long as Peter keeps a level head and looks after himself he sees no problem in the band reforming in the near future.

“Lots of people have come up to me saying a reunion would be a good idea. And I do think so too.

I’d love to do it. It was a good band.

I don’t want to just do gigs. I want to make new material.

We haven’t got a date yet but it will happen if Peter stays on his current trajectory.

Peter’s very keen and persuasive. He rings me up and tells me he going to keep on the straight and narrow.”

Great news for all The Libertines fans out there and even better news for Peter and Carl. It seems after everything that’s happened the boys are willing to put their differences aside and continue their friendship.

The thought of new material, a tour and most likely festival headlining slots has Libertines fans drooling at the mouth for next year. The sooner the better I say.

Last week I wrote a very detailed post on my doubts about The Libertines reforming, you can view that post here. I didn’t quite think my article would have so much relevancy so soon, let me know what you think of my doubts in the comments section below either post.

Anyway, all in all it’s a good day for Libertines fans and a great day for music.

The quote is from The Sun so take from it what you will…
