Wow, this week has seen some amazing new tracks already. Just as I though things couldn’t get any better the two new Arcade Fire tracks that were recently sparingly previewed made their full length debut.
First up ‘The Suburbs’, sounding rather twee and spanning over 5 minutes the track is epic in it’s arrangement but understated in it’s delivery. Its not until a few listens that the track fully takes hold and you hear so much more than you first did, a true grower in every sense; something Arcade Fire have mastered.
‘Month Of May’ on the other hand is at the other end of the scale Arcade Fire wise. There are definite 70′s punk influences here as the track grinds though it’s duration. It’s a more immediate sound which really captures your attention from the outset.
So two totally opposing track which both impress in their own individual ways. No date yet as far as I’m aware when they’ll be released exactly but in the next week or so seems to be the general consensus.
