[MP3] Klaxons – ‘Echoes’

Klaxons last night returned to Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show earlier than billed to preview more material from their upcoming album Surfing The Void.

‘Echoes’ will be the first single and opening track from the much delayed new album; an album which, by all accounts, is set to be a much more accessible record than initially imagined by the band. The track itself pretty much proves that as it hardly pushes any boundaries which hadn’t already been toppled by the band.

‘Echoes’ is certainly very radio friendly and although the track is decent enough there doesn’t seem to be much progression from their three or four year old sound. Between ‘Echoes’ and the previously previewed album track ‘Flashover’ I must say I’m leaning towards the latter so far.

Take a listen to the track over at Modular now or listen to the track plus an interview with Jamie from the band here.

‘Echoes’ is set for release August 16th while Surfing The Void is due out August 23rd.
