Neon Indian aka Alan Palomo has just released not one but two brilliantly original remixes to Grizzly Bear’s ‘Cheerleader’.
The remixes, creatively titled Neon Indian ‘Sega Genesis P-Orridge’ Remix and Neon Indian ‘Studio 6669′ Remix, offer a new take on ‘Cheerleader’ through Palomo’s eyes and ears. The hazy beats of his ridiculously un-tiresome debut album ‘Psychic Chasms’ can be heard in both and create two completely different takes on the song in each.
I recently wrote about Neon Indian over at Indieball, where I contribute alongside a bunch of great writers and music fans.
Sadly thanks to Lala being a US only service I can only point you in the direction on the remixes over at Pitchfork, hopefully you’ll take my word and give them a listen.
There may be some bootlegs floating around in the morning so I’ll keep an eye out and make sure I let you guys know if I find anything.
Edit:As promised here are the MP3′s for the two tracks, props goes out to JP’s Blog for these.
