Taken from their upcoming EP Young, Summer Camp share with us brand new material tinged with the blissful effortlessness we’ve come to know so well in such a short amount of time from the elusive duo.

‘Jake Ryan’ is perhaps one of the best produced tracks I’ve heard so far from Jeremy Warmsley and Elizabeth Sankey, taking the light melodies from the likes of ‘Ghost Train’ and giving them more depth without losing the warmth and passion which can be heard in earlier material.

If you so wish you can also download the track here thanks to NME.

Young is due out September 6th with the single ‘Round the Moon’ available the following week, September 13th.

  • Barney

Wasn’t Jake Ryan the name of the football player in Sixteen Candles that Molly Ringwald was so in love with? At times, this tune has an eighties feel to it. Coincidence or no?
