Talk about pressure! Just last week, little known UK artist Mr Hudson was tipped by possibly the biggest name in the music industry right now, Kanye West, to take over his crown and be one of the biggest artists in the world. Check that news story over at Starpulse.com now.
The first i heard of Mr Hudson is when he released the album A Tale of Two Cities and single Too Late, Too Late with his band in 2007, under the name Mr Hudson and The Library. The music produced had a relaxing and laid back vibe to it. Using acoustic instument and steel drums to create a unique sound. Take a listen to the track to see what i mean.
I was a fan of that single and on it alone actually purchased the album, although it was not as well refined as the single the potential was there.
Now, with the backing of Kanye West and his G.O.O.D Music label big things are expected of summer album release Straight No Chaser.
Below you can listen to a snippet of the duo’s new work with the track Supernova. Straight off the bat you can recognise the Kanye West production techniques used in 808′s and Heartbreaks.
I have a feeling this track or possibly another track on the album could take off and become a big summer hit setting Mr Hudson firmly on his way to reaching Kanye West type dizzy heights.
