Taken from the beautifully serene ‘Teen Dream’, ‘Silver Soul’ now has an equally mystifying video to suit.
As the band continue to produce a video for each track from the album they pave inroads into your mind and ensure ‘Teen Dream’ will be remembered come the end of the year.
The video to ‘Silver Soul’ is pretty odd, but then again Beach House aren’t exactly run of the mill. The video is actually directed by one half of Beach House, Victoria Legrand. A nice touch is that ensure the thoughts behind the track are not blurred from band to director.
No, I’m not trying to be overly opinionated and instructing you as to which remix of ‘You Got The Love’ is the very best.
The Very Best are in in fact the Esau Mwamwaya, Radioclit and Etienne Tron, a trio who’s afro-pop vibe brings a very different sound to The xx’s remixed version of ‘You Got The Love’.
The Very Best enjoyed under the radar success with their debut album ‘Warm Heart Of Africa’, which featured guest spots from M.I.A and Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend. If you’ve not check the album out then I’d recommend it as one to add to your collection.
After the reception that the recently previewed ‘Excuses’ and ‘Promises’ received it’s not surprising that The Morning Benders are giving us a preview of the album before it’s release.
The Morning Benders’ hazy beats and laid back style caught the attention of many of the top blogs a couple of weeks ago resulting in the creation of the widget below for you to preview the album in full.
From initial listens it seems a great progression from the bands last album. ‘Excuses’ and ‘Promises’ are the highlights so far but I’m sure other track will soon be embedded deep within my subconsciousness thanks to their pop roots and catchyness.
‘Big Echo’ will be available March 9th in the US and March 15th in the UK.
Zane Lowe is on it with these exclusives lately. After his exclusive first play of Gorillaz ‘Superfast Jellyfish’ on Thursday he’s back with another much anticipated return, the mighty Foals.
The track’s called ‘Spanish Sahara’ and is quite a departure from previous Foals material. Gone are the calculated riffs and jaunty vocals. In their place is a much more serene sound, complete with heartfelt vocals and a real sense of passion.
It’s beautiful and I’m already hooked, on the back of this I’ve got great expectations for the new album.
Listen to ‘Spanish Sahara’ below or watch the accompanying video over at Foals’ official website. What do you think?
A remix of the track by Mount Kimbie is also available when you sign up to the bands mailing list. Adding an eerie beat and some subtle beats to the track make for an atmospheric listen.

Damn, this one just blew ‘Stylo’ outta the water! ‘Superfast Jellyfish’ was premiered for the first time on Zane Lowe’s show last night and surely promises good things for ‘Plastic Beach’.
‘Stylo’ didn’t really do it for me but within the first 20 seconds of ‘Superfast Jellyfish’ I knew we were in for something special. The tracks hefty bass beat mixed with some high pitched backing vocals make for an interesting contrast, a style synonymous with Gorillaz.
Guest vocals are supplied by De La Soul and Gruff Rhys from SFA, alongside those Albarn chips in with the catchy as hell chorus.
Overall it marks a return to some of Gorillaz earliest, most fun loving music and offers replayability in bucket loads.
You can either listen via the embedded BBC Player below or head over to YouTube where the band have uploaded the track.
