Tame Impala take a rather simple idea and turn it into an art form thanks to director Robert Hales.

Here’s the blurb on the video,

Shot outside the country town of Mildura, 500 odd kilometres from Melbourne, the “Lucidity” video was a leap into the unknown, a series of experiments and blind faith launches into the final frontier, involving cameras being launched into space inside weather balloons, tracking all that went on below, including Tame Impala ripping through “Lucidity”.

Innerspeaker, which features ‘Lucidity’ is out now.

Nudity, whether it be male or female, has become the industry standard for the music video director over the past 12 months or so.

Continuing this trend El Guincho gives us “Bombay”, which actually appears to be an extended advert for Bombay: The Movie.

As for the track itself there’s a real afrobeat vibe courtesy of the steel drum, it’s a real fun-loving, carefree track which could be related to the likes of Animal Collective, Lemonade or Delorean.

Be warned kids, this isn’t one to show your boss, teacher or anyone who’s head might explode at the sight of a pair of breasts (aka NSFW).

El Guincho’s new album Pop Negro is out now.

British Sea Power return with the sudden announcement of a new EP due for release in a couple of weeks time.

The first preview of the EP comes in the form of title track “Zeus”, a track which peaks and troughs as musical instruments collide through it’s duration, managing to sound grand yet understated all at once.

Sign up to the British Sea Power mailing list below to get hold of the track plus updates on the band via email.

Zeus is set for release October 4th via Rough Trade.

Foals follow up the comedic “Miami” video with a more sombre affair in ’2 Trees’.

Total Life Forever, which features “2 Trees” is out now.

Introducing the loyal fans of Indiescreet to new bands and artists is something I don’t do often enough, usually I’ll wait until there’s some buzz about an act before taking the leap of faith and sharing my finds with you guys.

Today I thought I’d make an exception and generally try and counter my reservations by launching Introducing as a new tag an a recurring feature.

First up is Mikey Sanders from San Francisco, who records under the moniker Blackbird Blackbird. His music can best be described as dream-pop, shoegaze or perhaps chillwave, providing a fuzzy layered sound alongside distorted vocals reminiscent of the likes of Washed Out, Toro Y Moi or Tennis.

Below is a great mass of material which Blackbird Blackbird has released in a short period of time, plenty to immerse yourself in.

‘Pure’ is taken from Blackbird Blackbird’s debut full length record Summer Heart which you can stream in full below or download over at Bandcamp now.

Also worth a listen is a cover of Modest Mouse’s ‘Float On’ which I found over at Nialler9 just today.

Crystal Fighters continue their stop-motion madness with their latest video to accompany ‘Follow’.

Continuing the theme of previous video ‘In The Summer’ and the Star Of Love album cover (above) the video takes you into the depth of director Ian Pons-Jewell’s creative mind and spits you out the other side wondering what the hell just happened.

Crystal Fighters debut album Star Of Love is due out October 4th.
