Finally! I’ve been waiting to write about Late Of The Pier since Indiescreet started back in May. The boys from Castle Donington have been quiet since the brilliance that was ‘Fantasy Black Channel’ but now they’re back with new material.
The material comes in the form of a brand new track titled ‘Blueberry’.
When the track first comes in you can hear a distinct LOTP sound, multi layered instruments and sounds, then the track takes a surprisingly mellow turn, continuing on to sound very David Bowie-esq. As tasters go it’s pretty sweet, there seems to be much more depth in the track than some previous LOTP songs.
Zane has a chat to Sam from the band after the track so make sure you keep listening. Basically it sounds like the track will be a one off single as a taster of what’s to come from the band. The album is still quite a way off due to the guys involvement in other projects.
I’m excited, can’t wait to hear what the band come up with. ‘Fantasy Black Channel’ is an album I still listen to and love.
