17 Reasons Not To Attend A Music Festival This Summer

After the success of my 25 reasons to attend a music festival this summer post and the feedback I received I decided to publish a counter post.

Here are 17 reasons not to attend a music festival this summer.

  • Watch highlights on BBC iPlayer
  • Youtube
  • The weather
  • Staying in a tent is your idea of hell
  • Radiohead at Reading & Leeds (included in both lists as Radiohead are like marmite)
  • You’re a recluse
  • You prefer smaller more intimate venues when seeing a band
  • You’d rather go on holiday somewhere abroad with guaranteed sunshine
  • The credit crunch
  • The average age of headline acts seems to be getting older and older
  • You’re favourite band haven’t reformed yet (don’t worry it’s only a matter of time)
  • You’re suffering from depression because Andy Murray didn’t win Wimbledon
  • The Ashes
  • None of your mates are going
  • Bad experience in the past
  • Overcrowding
  • The Boss won’t give you the time off

Do any of these sound familiar? Any other reasons you would add to this list? If so either let me know via the comments section below or tweet me over on Twitter.
