in New Releases

After a flurry of re-releases last week here are this weeks (September 14th) new releases:

Muse – ‘The Resistance’
The Big Pink – ‘A Brief History Of Love’
The Very Best – ‘Warm Heart of Africa’
David Gray – ‘Draw The Line’

As I hoped and predicted last week both Jamie T and The Cribs managed to make top ten places with sports at number 2 and number 8 respectively.

Jamie T has once again managed to impress with his album and was only denied the number one spot by the crooning of Vera Lynn.

The Cribs continue to impress, their somewhat cult following has yet to fully crossover to the mainstream so to place so highly in the charts is very impressive.

A great feat by both bands considering the Beatles, who are generally considered the best band of all time, re-released their who back catalogue.

A grand total of 11 albums from the legendary Liverpool band managed to place in the top 40 this week.

Muse release their latest album ‘The Resistance’ today, last week I featured a brand new track previewed from the album, check it out here.

I predict that Muse will storm to the top of the charts next week, the only thing that could stop their fifth album from reaching the top of the charts is if the Beatles continue to sell well.

Check back next week to find out who placed where and what album are released.
