This weeks ROTW shares with you guys some of the links I posted over on Indiescreet’s new Tumblr page over the past week.
There are also some news stories which have broken over the past week which are defiantly worth sharing.
A pretty random set of links you may agree, but what the hell, I like them.
Remember if you find anything you’d like to share head over to Indiescreet’s Tumblr page and submit anything you fancy.
I found some awesome images:
Street Installations by Mark Jenkins
Losangelous shared the great news of the Pavement reunion which has been announced
“After years of speculation, the most important American band of the Nineties is returning to the stage with the lineup of Mark Ibold, Scott “Spiral Stairs” Kannberg, Stephen Malkmus, Bob Nastanovich and Steve West reuniting for dates around the world in 2010. Please be advised this tour is not a prelude to additional jaunts and/or a permanent reunion.”
Pigeons and Planes blogged about the new Muse video for ‘Uprising’
“This video gets absolutely absurd when giant teddy bears rise from the dirt, make angry faces, and proceed to smash buildings and knock over bridges.”
The Cribs took over the Guardian’s music section, check out Johnny Marr interviewing Rough Trade founder Geoff Travis
“Johnny Marr: Can you explain, for those who might not know, how you started the Rough Trade shop and why you started the label?
Geoff Travis: Inspired by City Lights in San Francisco, I started the shop in order to be able to listen to music all day and to provide a community-based environment where hopefully people could discover good and interesting music that perhaps they would not find in a mainstream shop.”
If you want to check out all the other great bits and pieces I found over the week head over to Indiescreet’s Tumblr page.
