The Cribs latest album, their fourth studio release, is due out in September.
The album, which the band have spent several weeks recording in Los Angeles, will be 12 tracks long including titles such as, ‘Serve Your Secrets’, ‘Stick To Your Guns’, ‘Cheat On Me’, ‘Ignore The Ignorant’, ‘We Were Aborted’ ‘Last Year’s Snow’, and ‘We Share The Same Skies’.
The album is being produced by Nick Launay and Johnny Marr, formerly of The Smiths, features on a Cribs album for the first time since joining the band.
Gary Jarman had this to say about the album,
“We recorded our first album in a week, but we spent the best part of three months doing this album. We recorded everything live and we’d finish working around 1:00 or 2:00am when all the bars in LA were closed, so there was no reason to go out. It was sort of like a social experiment.”
The album is as yet unnamed, Jarman is quoted as saying,
“This record’s gonna follow us around for the rest of our lives so we’re labouring over the title.”
The Cribs are touring the UK in September to promote the album, see the tour dates from the related posts below.
