Three members of The Libertines reunited last night (May 16th) to play an impromptu late night show.
Peter Doherty, Carl Barat and Gary Powell were all at The London Rhythm Factory for a tribute gig to the late Johnny Sedassy.
Doherty”s band Babyshambles took to the stage first playing a set which included hits, I Wish, Delivery and Albion.
Once their set had finished Barat and Powell took to the stage amid cheers. They launched into a number of classic Libertines tracks including Up The Bracket, Time For Heroes and Can”t Stand Me Now.
Babyshambles bassist Drew McConnell stayed on stage to play with the three former Libertines members.
Performances like this will do nothing to quash rumors of a reunion happening in the near future. Here”s hoping for that to happen.
