These Libertines rumours just won’t go away will they? Which means for all you fans out there (that includes me too) hopes of a reunion are becoming ever stronger by the day.
Now Carl Barat, formerly of The Libertines (of course) and Dirty Pretty Things, and Adam Ficek of Peter Doherty’s current band Babyshables have added fuel to the fire via NME.com and BBC 6 Music respectively.
Barat told NME.com,
“I can’t rule it out, but I’d rather save it [playing with The Libertines again],” he said. “That’s not to say I won’t get on stage with Pete at some point soon.”
Ficek told BBC 6 Music,
“I’m sure they’ll get together at some point. Obviously there is a lot of history between [Barat and Doherty] but I don’t really get involved with personal relationships and take sides, I think they should make people wait and make people really want them.”
Barat is currently working on his solo project and Doherty has just announced more solo tour dates toward the end of the year and is working on the latest Babyshambles album.
