There’s something really surreal about this video and something really surreal about Gayngs in general.
Best described as a collective, Gayngs features 23 musicians in all, including Justin Vernon and Mike Noyce of Bon Iver. Their sound, as I recently read, is based entirely upon 10cc’s beautiful ‘I’m Not In Love’.
Taking a listen to ‘The Gaudy Side Of Town’ it’s obvious Gayngs have succeeded in what they set out to achieve, both the track and the acts stage presence have a real 70′s feel about them. I’ve yet to take a listen to debut album ‘Relayted’ but look forward to the opportunity to hear more of the same.
