I know, I know, another Neon Indian video this week. I wasn’t going to post this until the ‘fans’ on Jimmy Fallon caught my eye.
First off we’ve got robot clap guy at about 0:40.
Then there’s the 7ft statue, a rock throughout. Everyone else is getting down to a bit of Neon Indian but this guy either isn’t interested or is in fact a cardboard cut out, it’s hard to tell.
At 2:33 we have a guy who’s been watching too much Fresh Prince getting somewhat excited and losing control of his head.
And finally, the obligatory head banger at 1:15.
It’s painfully funny but worries me that these people like the music I like. Or are they just those extras who are sometimes brought in to overact being normal?
Either way the performance from Neon Indian is still great. Palomo shows the kind of stage presence you would never envision him to have and the transition from ‘Terminally Chill’ to ‘Ephemeral Artery’ is spine chilling.
