A black and white video which seems to depict Doherty in a prison cell is a million miles away from the joyfully happy videos he once produced with The Libertines.
Nevertheless, I’m a fan of the track, it’s a grower so give it a chance at least. I was quite cynical when his album came out but it has definitely grown on me.
A somewhat low key single, ‘Broken Love Song’ was released on July 27th and features ‘The Ballad Of Grimaldi’ as a b-side.
Doherty’s debut solo album ‘Grace/Wastelands’ is also available now for the usual outlets. There is also a European tour scheduled for November and December, see the links below for more details.
